Every 2 seconds someone needs blood. 60% of people will need a blood product in their lifetime, but only 2% actually give it to others in Hawaii. Blood cannot be grown on a farm. It cannot be purchased at the store. The only way patients in our states 18 hospitals receive cancer treatments and surgeries they need are from our community rolling up their sleeve to donate blood at a blood drive like the upcoming one at Executive Plaza in Hawaii Kai!

Donations are needed every day to maintain an adequate blood supply and fulfill our ohana’s needs. An hour of your time donating blood can mean a new parent will live to see a child grow up. A son marry his sweetheart. A daughter graduate high school. It can mean a neighbor will come home from the hospital to have that summer BBQ. A grandmother hold their grandchild again. A friend survive cancer. Be a hero; it’s in your blood.
