For the first time ever in Hawai`i, Malama Maunalua will be launching a community initiative to restore Maunalua Bay using local corals!
Join us by volunteering at Hana Pūko’a, Working Together for Coral, this Saturday, June 19 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Volunteers will have the opportunity to tag, photograph, identity, and fragment corals while also learning more about how scientists
identify thermal tolerance to enhance reef resilience for the future as part of the Restore with Resilience initiative.
Keiki will also be able to draw and build their own polyp along with play an algae game at the Activity Corner.
We look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
